SEC is an agency built on its people and as such we would like to tell you about every single person who works with us, but the numbers are so high that they would put anyone off. So we will limit ourselves to providing details about the board of management in an attempt to go a small way towards describing â€śWho we areâ€ť.
The founder of SEC, president of all the subsidiaries and managing director of the parent company. As well as developing the Group, in Italy and abroad, he is also responsible for the lobbying and public affairs division, based in Milan and Rome. He holds numerous teaching posts in the area of communication, in particular public communication. He is on the board of directors of the Fondazione Teatro alla Scala of Milan, and of the Fondazione Banco Alimentare onlus. A professional journalist with a degree in philosophy, he was one of the founders of the weekly publication â€śil Sabatoâ€ť which he edited until 1987, managing director of NEI Spa, the company that edits the daily newspaper â€śAvvenireâ€ť (1983-1989) and general secretary of the Vatican Television Centre (1986-1989).
Following 25 years in Hill + Knowlton, on 10 July 2015 he becomes a partner and CEO of SEC, in a role that he enters willingly, eager to face the challenge of independence, leadership in the Italian market and International development that it offers. His career began in FCV where he was an account director, then, in 1985 he joined J. Walter Thompson, where he created and developed a new integrated communication department: public relations, sponsorships, direct marketing, editorial initiatives. At the end of 1988 he joined Hill & Knowlton as President and CEO for Italy. In 1995 his role extends the field of his responsibility to include southern Europe and in 2000 also the centre and east of Europe; in 2008 he became Chairman & CEO of Hill + Knowlton Strategies for South Europe. He is a member of the General Board of the Verdi Orchestra in Milan, of which he is a founding partner.
A member of SEC since the year of its incorporation, she has been a partner and the vice president of the company since 2001. A professional journalist and copywriter, she oversees content management and integrated communication projects, especially in the corporate, political and public administration fields. She is the managing director of Curious Design. Having graduated in Modern Arts, and obtained a doctorate in History of Italian Language and Literature, she has published several works of literary criticism and studies on the history of Italian advertising. Between 2005 and 2008 she taught Forms and Languages of advertising at the UniversitĂ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
Director of communication and external relations at the Fondazione San Raffaele in Milan for 18 years, he has been a partner and manager of the Reputation & Crisis Management department at SEC since January 2009, bringing with him some of his workers and the skills developed during the first phase of his career, in such an important scientific and healthcare-related company. He has also put his experience to good use in other important projects: from the regional healthcare system in the Lombardy Region (2004-2005) to the floating of the biotech company Molmed SpA. A graduate in modern Arts with a masterâ€™s degree in PR and public affairs, he is a professional journalist.
A partner in SEC, she supervises the communication of international companies and brands, cultural institutions and important architectural projects. She has been with SEC since January 2005. Having graduated in Law, she began her career at the High Touch Communication agency as the assistant of Luca Cordero of Montezemolo. In 1990 she joined Fininvest and a year later took up office as Head of the Press Office at Italia Uno. Subsequently she joined the press office of the Presidency of the Senate (under President Carlo Scognamiglio). In1995 she became the head of the press office of the Mediaset Group and Mediatrade networks.
With 10 years of experience in SEC, he is supervisor of the Public Affairs division. Lobbyist, communicator with a passion for politics, his responsibilities include community relations projects, institutional relations and lobbying in synergy with other specialisations of the agency as well. Previously he worked in H3G (today known as 3 Italia) as area manager of institutional relations for the north of Italy. Having graduated in Humanities, with a thesis in the History of Italian Journalism, he has always cultivated a passion for new technologies. In 2001, having obtained a Masterâ€™s degree in â€śInnovation and technologies of e-businessâ€ť, he was one of the founders of a web contact centre services company, recognised by the Chamber of Commerce of Milan as the best new business idea of 2002.
Partner and supervisor of the Economic and Financial Division, he has been with SEC since March 2006. An Arts graduate, having started out in IPSOA and the economic newspaper ItaliaOggi, in 1988 he joined Milano Assicurazioni (Gruppo Fondiaria) as communication manager, subsequently progressing to manage the Groupâ€™s press office. In 1992 he took on the management of the press office of the Cariplo bank and its Foundation (to which he served as communication consultant until 2005) and then of Banca Intesa. After working for a year with Telecom Italia as press office manager, in 1999 he joined Ad Hoc Communication Advisors as a board member.
Responsible for International Development and Board member in ACH-Cambre, he has been in SEC since 2009. A graduate in Politics, with a specialisation in Journalism and Mass Communication, he entered the world of environmental communication in 1996, completing the entire cursus honorum in Gaia, until he became a partner and member of the Board of Directors, an office that he held even when, in 2001, the agency was purchased by a multinational group. His customers and projects focus on energy, waste, mobility and infrastructure.
Having served as head of the administrative department at SEC since 2003, she became the companyâ€™s Chief Financial Officer in 2014. Chartered accountant and auditor with a degree in Economics from Parma University. In 1998 she joined an accountantâ€™s studio as an employee and worked in parallel with the Accounts office of the Cassa Comunale (Financial Bureau of Municipality) in Strongoli. In 2000 she became consultant to a Provincial Consortium, giving advice to companies on the Laws of Regional, National and European Financing.
